As a main character introduction, I wanted to do a large body shot of Rock showing his famous "heroic power walk" when the circle button is pressed while moving. Again, his design was still not set at the time, nor was the shading/coloring style as I was still experimenting with lines and tones to get the effect I want.

One of the most common feedback I received was about my decision to use the Japanese term "Deflectors" for Refractors. While the term "Deflector" was easily associated with mirrors or shield systems in media, the main reason for deciding to go with the Japanese term was due to how these power sources were used by "rapidly spinning them to make extractable" (hence 'deflecting' their stored energy away from themselves).

Sometime around mid-late April 2016, I redrew this page as a test run to see how I would go about drawing this page again using the current method and writing style. If I remember right, the original page drawn back in 2011 above took roughly 6-8 on-off days due to studies while the redrawn version took only half a weekend.
