I openly admit that I was using the X VS Vava Mk-II fight in Iwamoto's X3 manga as a reference when I drew this two-page spread (down to the close-ups of the fighters). The reason for this was that this was the first two-page spread of the comic, and I wanted to see how I can portray an exchange of attacks going for a while all in a single panel.

Looking back at the amount of destruction that does take place in the boss room alone, it is a little surprising that the Ocean Tower is still in one piece.
