Yes, I know technically the helmet is found before the battle in the Yass Plains, but I decided to push for it earlier to make the battle upgrades more apparent and not just "WEAPON GET". Also as a way to say Roll managed to get it operational (more on this in Chapter 5) given what's coming up.
