One of my favorite portrayals of Rock is that despite carrying a huge responsibility as part of his job and for his family, he's still going to act his age and have some fun with his heavy firepower and armor such as for showing off or to be reckless. But because this deviates slightly from his "good kid" nature as mostly implied in the games, I make an effort to not go too far with it and justify it with either because he really was out of choices, or just because it's cool to look at.
