Drawn by Yoshihiro Iwamoto (Mushrambo/Shinzo, Gunpla Builders A), this manga adaptation was first
published by BOMBOM COMICS in 1994 - 1995 for a total of 13 chapters, and released over a span of 3 volumes.
A reprint by Fukkan in 2005 compiles all chapters into a single release.
Based on the first Rockman X game for Super Famicom in 1993, the story features the B-Class Hunter "X" and his fight against an uprising led by the Hunters' former leader Sigma as he develops through trials involving his unique ability for empathy and his duty as a Hunter.
